Conqueror of the Sea

Task:

We are tasked with designing a new Feadship expedition yacht for a client who has exclusively cruised the Mediterranean for the past 15 years. The new yacht must be capable of long-distance, adventurous cruises to remote and high-latitude areas, including the North-West Passage. It must feature the following:

1. Rugged Seaworthiness and Long-Range Capability: Designed for challenging conditions with advanced stabilization systems and large fuel tanks.

2. Helicopter Facilities: Equipped with a helipad and hangar.

3. Luxury and Comfort: Spacious staterooms, social areas, spa, gym, and high-end dining facilities.

4. Scientific Research Facilities: Wet and dry labs, accommodation for scientists, and advanced communication systems.

5. Safety and Environmental Features: Comprehensive safety systems, hybrid propulsion, waste management, and ocean preservation equipment.

6. Additional Features: Adequate storage, tender garage, and onboard workshop.

Prepare the initial outline design, including layout plans, general arrangement, and exterior profile, for a review by senior team members. The final design will be presented to the client in December.
